課程概述

本課程主要探討考古學中關於貿易以及隨之而來的文化接觸,特別是殖民(colonization)及貿易離散(trade diaspora)的現象。上課討論的範圍同時包括史前與歷史時期,區域則不限制。在課程中我們將閱讀並檢討各種與貿易有關的模型與理論,討論其在考古學研究上的適用性。除此之外,我們也會觸及貿易與社會複雜化、權力、性別,以及認同之間的關係。 

課程目標
授課對象:
本課程的設計針對碩博士班同學而設。課程內容並不針對某一特定觀點,而是讓修課學生接觸各種與貿易及人口移動有關的理論,以培養學生進一步深入研究的能力。
 
課程要求
本課程為討論的形式,修課學生(包括旁聽生)必須全程參與課程討論。每堂課將輪流由學生引導課程的討論。輪值的同學必須設定相關議題及引領同學討論,其餘修課同學至少需唸完必讀書目及參與討論。
